Talk by Roberto Rubio at the <a href=\"https:\/\/srmc.pku.edu.cn\/eng\/research\/conferences\/171641.htm\" target=\"mstrsgpjludemad\">JLU Colloquium, Sino-Russian Mathematics Centre<\/a>, Jilin University, China.<\/p>\n<p>Abstract: I will introduce symmetric Poisson geometry, the study of symmetric bivector fields on a manifold. I will first discuss their integrability condition, then move to their geometric interpretation, which features totally geodesic foliations, and finally discuss some interesting examples, including their connection to Jacobi-Jordan algebras.
