Christian Bönicke,  Ideal structure and pure infiniteness of ample groupoid C*-algebras

Abstract: I will report on a recent joint work with Kang Li, where we study reduced C*-algebras associated to ample groupoids. The talk will focus on our results concerning the ideal structure of these C*-algebras and applications to pure infiniteness. If time permits I will also explain a generalization of the concept of paradoxical decomposition to groupoids.
