Stark’s conjectures and Hilbert’s 12th Problem
–
In this talk we will discuss two central problems in algebraic number theory and their interconnections: explicit class field theory (also known as Hilbert’s 12th Problem), and the special values of L-functions.
Theta series and (singular) theta lifts
–
In this talk we give an introduction to theta series and theta lifts and its representation-theoretic background.
The Eisenstein ideal with squarefree level
–
In his landmark paper “Modular forms and the Eisenstein ideal,” Mazur studied congruences modulo a prime p between the Hecke eigenvalues of an Eisenstein series and the Hecke eigenvalues of cusp forms, assuming these modular forms have weight 2 and prime level N.
