Let $(K,v)$ be a valued field. In this seminar I will explain about
inductive valuations,

presenting some of its invariants and establishing a connection between inductive valuations and irreducible polynomials with coefficients in the henselization $K^h$ of $K$. Also, I will apply part of previous results for computing some invariants of defecteless polynomials.
