PRESENTATION

What is this?

This is the webpage of a regular research seminar on Mathematical Analysis, jointly organized between Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Universitat de Barcelona, and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Researchers of the aforementioned institutions meet every Thursday at 3PM in one of the following: room A1 of the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica (U.A.B. Campus), Aula T2 of the Facultat de Matemàtiques i Informàtica  of U.B. (downtown in Barcelona), or room S02 of Facultat de Matemàtiques i Estadística at U.P.C. (Campus Sud).

What do we do?

Our central research area is Mathematical Analysis and everything around it. This means that our interests include the following, among others:

  • any kind of mathematical analysis (real analysis, complex analysis, harmonic analysis, geometric analysis, functional analysis, etc) ;
  • any connections of mathematical analysis with other areas of pure mathematics (partial differential equations, differential geometry, probability, real and/or complex dynamics, calculus of variations, number theory, etc) ;
  • any connection with applied and/or applicable mathematics (fluid mechanics, signal processing, inverse problems, etc)

Who can join us?

We welcome anyone who is interested to join us. Researchers in the area are encouraged to introduce themselves and say HI! when coming to Barcelona. If you would like to participate, please reach out to us: seminarianalisibcn at gmail.com.
