What is the GENTLE Math summer school + workshop?

It is an introduction to research activity combining the courses ‘Generalized geometry’ and ‘Low-dimensional topology’ with tutorial sessions and advanced research lectures.

When and where?

Between July 6th and July 10th at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The schedule will be posted closer to the starting date and will comprise morning and afternoon sessions.

Who can participate?

The event is targeted at master and last-year undergraduate students, but everyone is welcome to apply.

How do I participate?

Participation is possible through a selection process only. In order to apply:

• Send your motivation letter, CV and academic transcript to roberto.rubio@uab.cat. Include also this year’s registration to show the courses you are currently taking.
• Join the Perusall course app.perusall.com/join/RUBIO-FHZW6 and work on the precourse materials.

The deadline to apply is April 30th.

Are there any grants?

Yes, we have a limited number of accommodation grants for all participants and travel+accommodation grants for participants coming from Spanish universities. The accommodation covers the period July 5th to July 12th.

The accommodation is at shared apartments at Vila Universitària, with access to an outdoor swimming pool. You can see more about Vila in this video:
